Caritas Europa contacts MEPs ahead of crucial voting on Return Directive

Caritas Europa, the Conference of European Churches, the Commission of the Bishops' Conference of the European Community and the Churches' Commission for Migrants in Europe have sent a joint letter to all Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) in a last attempt to make them aware of a series of critical points included in the proposed Return Directive before a crucial voting scheduled for 18 June 2008.

BT announces 80% global CO2 reduction target

BT announced today that it will cut its carbon emissions intensity by 80% across the globe by 2020(1), setting one of the most aggressive corporate carbon reduction targets worldwide.
