This morning the EMI held a seminar on the Europe 2020 Strategy in the premises of the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU, gathering leading experts, social partners, the Presidents of the European political parties, as well as a wide range of civil society representatives.

Commission's two-faced rush to approve GM potato flouts public opinion

With the statement that Mr Barroso does not intend to impose GM crops and will follow the policy guidelines set by the European Commission on licensing genetically modified crops from February 10th still ringing in our ears, the Commission has approved the cultivation of the GM potato Amflora.

Today, Euro NCAP releases the crash test results for five new cars the Citroen Nemo, the Kia Venga, the Nissan Cube, the Seat Exeo and the Toyota Verso. In this latest set of results only one car, the Toyota Verso, receives Euro NCAP’s maximum five star rating.
