Rail has a key role in tackling climate change, says European Parliament

Voting in Brussels on 16 March, members of the European Parliament’s Environment Committee emphasised the importance of more environmentally-friendly transport when adapting the European Union’s policies to climate change challenges. The European rail sector particularly welcomes provisions to encourage the use of lower carbon modes of transport, and to ensure that all modes abide by the “polluter pays” principle.

CEN and EUROCAE strengthen their collaboration on the safety and efficiency of air traffic management

Brussels (12 March) Today CEN (European Committee for Standardization) and
EUROCAE (European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment) strengthened
their collaboration by signing a protocol to ensure and maintain technical
cooperation and mutual exchange of information in the field of Air Traffic
Management (ATM).

The protocol was signed by Mrs Elena Santiago, Director General of CENCENELEC
and Mr Gilbert Amato, Secretary General of EUROCAE.

Will Environment Ministers put biodiversity back on its way to recovery?
