2040 climate target, net zero and the role of CCU/S technologies

Today, the #EU [1] #environment [2] ministers are meeting in Brussels to discuss the proposed 2040 #climate [3] target.

FIEC EU  [4]welcomes the opening of the debate on this target, but stress that its focus must now be on the following priorities:
 

  • Focusing on full and proper implementation of the #EUGreenDeal [5]
  • Reducing bureaucracy and reporting requirements
  • Strengthening CCU/S technologies
  • and the climate #resilience [6] of the built environment
