The Bureau of the GUE/NGL Group met in Strasbourg today and heard Miloslav Ransdorf about his arrest in Switzerland.
Ransdorf is entitled to the presumption of innocence until the investigation into the matter has been completed.
Miloslav Ransdorf decided to suspend himself from any involvement in the activities of the GUE/NGL Group until his situation has been clarified.
The Bureau of the Group unanimously accepted this suspension.
