Members of the media are invited to a press briefing with the president of the European Liberal Democrats Sir Graham Watson MEPat the ELDR Secretariat on rue Montoyer 31 in Brussels on Monday 10 September 2012 between 10.30 and 11.15.

Sir Graham will provide a liberal perspective on some of the recent news items such as:

• European liberals and the euro crisis – latest developments
• State of the Union address by President Barroso
• A common Commission President candidate for 2014

Members of the press will also be able to meet Jacob Moroza-Rasmussen, the new Secretary General of the European Liberal Democrats. Jacob has been active at all levels of youth politics as well as national and international liberal parties since 1991, when he joined the Danish liberal youth. Amongst other positions, he has been both Secretary General and President of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY). His very varied professional background, with both a history in politics with leading IFLRY, as well as many years of management in bigger private companies around Europe, will be of great added value to the ELDR Party.
