Brussels, 28 January 2020. Are you in compliance with the Passenger Name Record (PNR) directive? How serious a business threat do Illegal air charters pose? Can your operations become more environmentally sustainable? AIR OPS Europe 2020 will tackle key operational issues facing the industry on 4-5 February 2020.

AIR OPS 2020 is the foremost event for schedulers and dispatchers in Europe to do business, network and learn about the industry’s hottest topics and best practices. Featuring a sold-out exhibition along with practical training opportunities, insightful education sessions and invaluable networking opportunities, #AIROPS20 is aimed at the people who make business aviation work.

“As we embark upon a new decade, our industry is facing more challenges and opportunities than ever,” says Athar Husain Khan, Secretary-General of the European Business Aviation Association. “Environmental and sustainability demands, new technologies, evolving regulations and tax issues, operational challenges – the list goes on. These, and other questions, will be explored at the premier event in Europe for business aviation ground handlers, airports and FBOs.”

Business aviation professionals from across Europe will be attending #AIROPS20, making it the ideal place to network and build relationships with industry peers and over 38 exhibitors in the ground operations community. The packed programme will allow attendees to get up to date on the latest operational issues and best practices through expert-led education and information sessions.

“It is now more important than ever that the people working in business aviation are well equipped with up-to-date knowledge,” says Robert Baltus, EBAA COO. “There are so many new technological tools available to ensure that flights operate efficiently and we want to make sure that all ground ops staff and flight planners are aware of them.”

Programme Highlights

Among the pressing topics on the agenda are illegal charters. Industry leaders like Dave Edwards of the Air Charter AssociationMike Ryan of FlyVictor, Joel Hencks of AeroEx and James Moreton of Hayward will discuss potential consequences and what has been done recently to narrow the gap between commercial and private rules and regulations.

Of particular interest to operators is the panel on the PNR regulation. There is a lot of confusion in the industry regarding PNR compliance PNR requirements. In reality, the regulation requires far more work, and this panel will help operators to alleviate any misunderstanding and help them avoid paying fines of up €10.000, as some operators have reportedly received.

This year, #AIROPS20 will also present an exclusive evening of Belgium Delights and Aviation. Belgium has a well-deserved reputation for culinary and brewing excellence, but perhaps less known is its storied aviation heritage. Hosted by some of Belgium’s leading business aviation companies, this inspiring evening of discovery will showcase the Belgian aviation tradition along with an appetizing spread of local and craft beer delights.
