EuropaBio is pleased to announce that Morten Damkjaer Nielsen has been appointed as temporary Director for Agricultural Biotechnology.

As of 1 October, Mr Damkjaer Nielsen, a Danish national, will replace Ms Nathalie Moll during her partial sabbatical until her return to post on 1 September 2010. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in agricultural policy, including the last two years where he held the position of Senior Advisor to the Danish Agriculture Council in their Brussels Office. Prior to this, for many years, Mr Damkjaer Nielsen represented the agricultural interests of Denmark in the EU to a variety of
stakeholders. Consequently, he possesses a broad and in depth knowledge of both national and EU agricultural policy development issues.

Commenting on the appointment, Secretary General Willy de Greef said “We are delighted that Morton will be working with us this coming year. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the sector and we look forward to his joining our already robust team of experts on Agricultural
Biotechnology”.
