The IRU has released its new website, featuring improved ergonomics, enhanced functionalities as well as new content and links to social media.
Geneva – The International Road Transport Union (IRU) has launched a new and highly improved website, designed according to best website practices, and developed to provide the different IRU audiences with easier access to all IRU information, messages and resources.
The new IRU website features improved design, architecture, ergonomics and response time, which considerably eases the navigation process, hence the browsing and retrieval of the information available.
IRU Head of Communications, Juliette Ebélé, stressed: “With today’s strategic importance of online communications, it was time to re-structure and upgrade the some 2500 pages currently available on the IRU website. New user-friendly features have also been implemented, such as ‘Related content’ and ‘Useful links’ boxes, as well as easy video screening and a new agenda module for press events, to name but a few. And this is just a beginning: be sure to keep looking for other upgrades throughout the year.”
Upgraded functionalities include a global filter enabling website visitors to sort all content by type of transport (Goods, Passengers or Both), as well as an enhanced search engine allowing for faster and more efficient retrieval of information and files.
The IRU Academy now also enjoys a fully integrated web section, where all website improvements have been implemented.
Finally, the IRU has entered the sphere of social communities with the implementation of RSS feeds, as well as the creation of Twitter and YouTube accounts that will allow all interested parties to join and remain constantly up-to-date with the IRU’s latest activities and projects.
Login details and account data enabling previously registered users to access IRU Services remain valid.
The IRU wishes you a pleasant navigation on its new website!
