IdentiPlast, the international conference on plastic waste recovery, will be held this year for the first time in Paris in the prestigious venue hosting the Economic, Social and Environmental Committee / Palais d’Iéna.
Organised by PlasticsEurope, IdentiPlast was born in 1997 from the belief that plastic waste is too valuable to be thrown away. After Madrid, London and Warsaw, IdentiPlast continues its European tour and stops this year in France for its 11th edition.
This two-day conference, including debates and roundtables, will bring together politicians, researchers, plastics industry representatives and waste management experts who will present their vision, exchange ideas and opinions, share experience and best practices, while reviewing the latest technological breakthroughs. All with one objective in mind: how to reach Zero Plastics to Landfill by 2020?
On the agenda:
- 28 November: an overview of plastic waste management in Europe, and more specifically, in France will precede a series of expert views on plastic waste prevention, collection and sorting, recycling and energy recovery. This will set the scene for the afternoon debate on the political and economic conditions required in order to achieve Zero Plastics to Landfill by 2020
- 29 November: opening debate on the socio-economic benefits which Europe can expect from a 100% plastic waste recovery, followed by more technical sessions which will aim at reviewing progress and future expectations in the area of recycling, energy recovery and chemical recycling.
Please note that the end of the morning session will focus on the assessment of the experimental extension of sorting instructions in France to include all household plastic packaging waste.
