Brussels, 26 September 2011 – Grayling Belgium has significantly bolstered its senior team with the arrival of two Managing Directors for two of its four departments and an internal promotion, reflecting the continued growth of the agency and further strengthening its presence in Belgium.

Kevin Doran joins from Bell Pottinger, where he was Director of European Affairs, and becomes Managing Director of Grayling Belgium’s EU Public Affairs department from October 2011, alongside Jessica Adkins who is promoted from Director. Jeremy Cohen becomes Managing Director of the International Corporate Communications group within Grayling Belgium.

Kevin brings with him over 15 years experience in political communications and public affairs consultancy. He has developed a formidable network of contacts and expertise in the EU institutions. Previously he managed the Brussels office of the British Medical Association (BMA) and was parliamentary adviser to Alan Donnelly MEP, when he led a 62-strong group of Labour MEPs. Kevin said: “Grayling is an internationally-respected agency and an established leader in the Brussels marketplace. I will be part of a team that can offer pan-European fully-integrated services to clients. This is an exciting time for me to join Grayling.  They are going from strength to strength, and I am very much looking forward to taking the business to the next level.”

Jeremy Cohen becomes Managing Director of the International Corporate Communications group within Grayling Belgium and brings over 15 years of in-house experience with SWIFT, Philips, and Shell.  Jeremy will also be responsible for establishing Grayling Belgium’s financial services portfolio. Jeremy said: “Being responsible for developing Grayling Belgium’s new international corporate practice and its financial services expertise is a challenge that I will relish. Moving into these new areas will increase our international profile tremendously, and I am eager to play a part in continuing to build Grayling Belgium into one of the most successful agencies on the Belgian and international scene.”

Grayling Belgium CEO Russell Patten concluded: “I am delighted that Kevin and Jeremy have joined our team, and our current and future clients stand to gain greatly from their experience and expertise. The promotion of Jessica to Managing Director is a well-deserved promotion, and she will take on some key horizontal roles for the business as a whole and will continue to lead the PA health and pharma practice. With continued growth expected across all departments, there has never been a more exciting time to be part of Grayling Belgium.”

In addition Grayling Belgium’s fledgling European Public Policy communications department, established just one year ago under the leadership of Managing Director Katarina De Meulder, has had a very prosperous start, most recently winning two pan-European tenders, namely with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion and the Committee of the Regions.

Meanwhile, the Belgian Grayling-Citigate public relations department continues to go from strength to strength with a reinforced team under the joint leadership of Jan De Ceuster and Nathalie Verbeeck. Recent major wins include a PR campaign for Bordeaux wines, a reputation management campaign for Barry Callebaut, and a corporate and B2B PR campaign for BEBAT, the latter with a special focus on sustainability.
