The European Confederation of Woodworking industries re-elects its Chairman and Vice-Chairman and appoints new Board members

Brussels, 25 November 2011: Last Thursday 17 November 2011 in Brussels, the General Assembly of Brussels-based European Confederation of Woodworking industries, CEI-Bois aisbl, has re-elected its Chairman and Vice-Chairman and appointed new Board members.

These appointments took place in the context of the European federation’s Annual General Assembly, held at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels.

Appointed as Member of the Board for the next two year period were:

o Mr Raúl Agullo (Agullo Madeiras), Confemadera

o Mr Lars-Gunnar Andersen, Chairman of FEP (European Parquet Federation)

o Mr Pietro Bellotti (Bellotti SpA), Federlegno-Arredo

o Mr Enrico Bonzano, Owner and CEO, IBL Italy (Plywood industry)

o Mr Ladislaus Döry, Chairman of EPF (European Panel Federation)

o Mr Anders Ek, International Marketing Director of SCA Timber

o Mr Alfred Jechart, Member of the Board Mayr-Melnhof Holzindustrie, Chairman of EOS

o Mr Arto Juvonen, Head of Plywood Division, UPM-KymmeneWood Oy

o Mr Mark Michielsen (Chep), FEFPEB

o Mr Matti Mikkola, Senior Vice-President Stora Enso Wood Products

o Mr Jorge Milne e Carmo (Carmo Lda.),WEI

o Mr Vítor Poças, chairman of AIMMP

o Dr Erich Wiesner, Owner and managing director of WIEHAG AG, Chairman of the Austrian federation of the woodworking and furniture industries

From these Board members, Mr Matti Mikkola, Senior Vice-President at Stora Enso Wood Products, was re-elected as Chairman of CEI-Bois. Mr Ladislaus Döry, Chairman of EPF and spokesperson of the Austrian panel industries, was reconfirmed as Vice-Chairman of the association for the next two years, in line with the statutory provisions.

The General Assembly expressed its strong gratitude to the leaving Board members Messrs Gil Covey, Francisco Huidobro, Fernando Rolin and Roberto Snaidero.
