EuropaBio takes note of today’s vote on the revision of the EU General Pharmaceutical Legislation (GPL) in the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI). A supportive and future-proof GPL is essential to ensure Europe can fully benefit from healthcare biotech innovations for patients, society, and economic development.
As the co-legislators continue to progress on this critical legislation, EuropaBio is committed to work with policymakers and all interested parties of the life sciences ecosystem. We remain convinced that by bringing further improvements to the GPL, it can enable Europe to once again be a leader of innovation.
