EuropaBio is pleased to announce the appointment of two communications professionals to its team.
Joanna Dupont Inglis, formerly Communications Advisor on Agricultural Biotechnology issues, has been
appointed as horizontal Communications Manger for EuropaBio. She is replaced by Joseph Buxton who
will take over communications responsibilities on Green Biotechnology.
Dupont Inglis a former consultant has a background in environmental science and has for the last decade
worked in the field of public affairs and communications in Brussels, both for the private sector and for the
European Commission’s DG Environment. Prior to this she worked for the UK public healthcare sector.
Buxton comes from a farming background and has built on his practical experience of agriculture during his time as a Research Assistant to former Chair of the EP Agriculture Committee, Neil Parish. Prior to this he also worked as the research assistant to fellow MEP, Robert Sturdy.
Commenting on the appointments, Secretary General Willy de Greef said: “The appointment of Joanna and Joseph is particularly timely as we have much to communicate, particularly now in the run up to the Climate Change summit in Copenhagen, about the importance of Biotechnology in managing the numerous environmental and healthcare challenges we now face. The sound understanding that both new colleagues have of the issues behind the headlines as well as their considerable experience in the field of
communications will do much to complement the skill set of our already experienced and dedicated team.
We are delighted to welcome them to the organisation.”
