Brussels, 19 March 2019. Eurogas has signed a partnership agreement with Clarion Energy, organisers of the European Utility Week and POWERGEN Europe taking place on 12-14 November 2019, in Paris, France.
The European Utility Week is one of Europe’s largest energy conferences and Eurogas will be a major partner for this year’s event.
James Watson, Eurogas Secretary General, proudly unveiled the partnership: “Eurogas is delighted to be part of this major event, which showcases expert knowledge, innovative solutions and provides insight from industry leaders on pathways to delivering a smooth transition to a sustainable energy future. There is a growing awareness that gas will be invaluable to driving down carbon emissions in Europe.”
He continued “The organisers of the event, Clarion Energy, have recognised the important role that gas will play in the European energy sector for the long-term. This agreement reflects the exciting opportunities in the gas sector, with innovation really stepping up and new technologies starting to take hold – like powerto-gas, biogas and CCS development.”
This year, the event will co-locate with POWERGEN Europe which has established itself as the centre point for the power generation sector. The 3-day event will address the most pressing challenges for the energy sector as it pursues the transition and decarbonisation targets set through to 2050 in the form of a 3-day Summit discussing topics such as the energy mix and technologies of the future, digitalisation and much more.
