EURIMA APPOINTS SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Marc Bosmans has recently been appointed as the new Sustainable Construction Manager at Eurima - effective from the 11th February 2013. Mr. Bosmans, a Belgian national with a degree in Bio-Engineering and specialization in Environmental Technologies from the University of Ghent, brings with him significant experience in the areas of sustainability assessment of both buildings and building products, carbon foot-print analysis and energy efficiency, areas of prime interest to the European Mineral Wool industry.
Previously the Head of the Sustainable Construction department and member of the management team at Intertek RDC, he was responsible for the company’s commercial activities in Flanders.
“At a time in which resource efficiency policies are on the top of the EU agenda, Eurima wants to reconfirm its traditional knowledge-based approach to policy issues by providing further expertise on the topic” comments Jan te Bos, Director General of Eurima. “Marc’s appointment is reflecting the Mineral Wool industry’s continuous drive for progress, sustainable growth and competitiveness through increased resource efficiency, using fewer resources, better resources, making better use of resources and making better products!”.
Marc will be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of all sustainable construction related activities within Eurima.
