BRUSSELS – Europe’s telecoms sector in 2007 experienced its lowest revenue growth in four years 2007 since 2003 and a significant slowing down of investment, reveals the ETNO 3rd Facts and Figures report published today.
“Low revenue growth and slow investment growth send a worrying signal as Europe is already lagging behind in the deployment of next generation access networks. It is therefore key that the telecoms rules currently being revised encourage all operators to invest and ensure that regulated access to networks when applicable is based on a fair risk sharing”, said Michael Bartholomew, ETNO Director.
