EACA Care Awards® showcase top social marketing campaigns on 28th June

The winners of the 2011 EACA Care Awards will be announced and receive their awards from Jury Chairmen Austrian MEPs Mr. Paul Rübig (EPP) and Mr. Heinz K. Becker (EPP) at the European Parliament on 28th June.  

The main aim of the EACA Care Awards is to highlight the advertising industry’s specific contribution to society by selecting and celebrating the most powerful and relevant social marketing campaigns. The EACA Care Awards cover subjects such as public health, environment, sustainable consumption, public safety, disability, human rights, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, education and other similar topical public issues.

A panel of Members of the European Parliament, chaired by Austrian MEPs Paul Rübig (EPP) and Heinz K. Becker (EPP), selected the winners of the 2011 EACA Care Awards from 26 finalists from 9 countries. Finalists are listed on The jury included Marije Cornelissen (GREEN/EFA), Piotr Borys (EPP), Eija-Riitta Korhola (EPP), Katarína Nevedalová (S&D), Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP), Nadja Hirsch (ALDE), Dan Luca, European Network Director at EurActiv, Oliver Fahlbusch, Vice President Corporate Communications at RTL Group, Laurent Thieule, Director at Directorate for Communication, Press and Protocol, Committee of the Regions.    

The entries were judged in 6 categories: Non-profit Organisations and Non-governmental Bodies; Government Bodies and Related Organisations; Local and Regional Authorities; Public and Private sector Businesses; Corporate Governance (CSR) and Volunteering and People-to-People Activities.

Registrations for the Awards Ceremony at the European Parliament can be made at  no later than 20th June.
