Press release

The European Commission has today sent letters to twenty-four Member States to launch infringement proceedings on the lacklustre implementation of the First Railway Package. EIM welcomes this demonstration of the Commission’s will to act to ensure the implementation of legislation that is essential for creating competition in the European railway markets and increasing the competitiveness of railways in relation to other modes of transport.
