The 4th IRU International Taxi Forum will focus on safe and sustainable taxi services.
Geneva – The 4th IRU International Taxi Forum on “Taxi Industry Image: towards a vision of safe and sustainable taxi services for all”, will be held in Cologne, Germany on 5 November 2010.
Some 200 leading taxi business operators, competent authority representatives, taxi-related academic researchers and marketing experts from around the globe will participate in the debate, aimed at creating a shared vision for safe, sustainable, and inclusive taxi services, which are fully integrated in the public transport chain.
Hubert Andela, President of the IRU Taxi Group, said: “The perception of taxis by the general public and decision-makers has a strong impact on our current and future customers, the taxi market, taxi regulations, and indeed on the future development of the taxi industry itself. We have initiated this in-depth reflection, with the participation of all our partners from the public and private sectors, including our customers, in order to enhance the taxi industry’s position as a key element of the public transport chain, offering safe and sustainable services to all our customers, while meeting their current and future mobility needs”.
Organised in partnership with the IRU’s German Member Association, BZP, and its regional member, Fachvereinigung Personenverkehr Nordrhein e.V., the 4th International Taxi Forum will be held within the framework of the world’s largest taxi exhibition, the Europäische Taximesse.
