Brussels 5 December 2011: The European Association of Communications Agencies has launched the call for entries for the EACA Care Awards 2012. These Awards for European Social Marketing Campaigns recognise excellence in promoting care for people, resources and the environment. They are part of the EACA’s overall commitment to promote Corporate Social Responsibility and are linked to the ACT Responsible online gallery and the ACT Responsible World Tour.

Restricting hydration-related claims to water only ignores EFSA advice and breaches European law

Brussels, 5 December 2011 - The Commission’s proposal to restrict the use of the water/hydration claims to water only would mark a move away from science-based policy-making and ignore the EFSA recommendation.

The Board of Directors of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has elected Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive Officer of Fiat S.p.A. as well as Chairman and CEO of Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A., as the association’s President for 2012.

The members of ACEA call on European leaders to take urgent action to secure a stable economic environment in which businesses of all sizes can be confident about creating jobs and investing in a strong future for Europe.

Europe’s increasing instability risks both the European and the global economy. To secure growth and prosperity in our region, European leaders must act in concert in the best interests of their citizens. It is especially important that confidence in the Eurozone is restored.
