Savings banks adopt resolution on a greener banking

ESBG and its 26 members make official their commitment to be eco-responsible market drivers by adopting a Resolution on the Environment during their General Assembly in Brussels. Building on this ESBG is also organising a Conference on “Towards a greener savings and retail banking sector” on 7 May in the Committee of the Regions notably with UN IPCC member Pr Jean-Pascal van Ypersele and French Minister Jean-Louis Borloo.

National parliaments in South-East Europe must strengthen cooperation

Doris Pack MEP, Chairwoman of the European Parliament's Delegation for South-Eastern Europe, has drawn a positive conclusion from the Joint Parliamentary Meeting between the European Parliament and the national parliaments of the Western Balkans yesterday in Brussels. The meeting, which was jointly organised by the European Parliament and the Slovenian parliament, brought together national Members of Parliament from the successor states of the former Yugoslavia and from Albania.
