ROME - Determining whether Italy, and especially the south, can escape the financial crisis will depend largely on efficient use of European program funds for 2014-2020, which represent an unmissable opportunity. Fabrizio Barca, Gianni Pittella and Antonio Tajani will discuss this topic in a public debate.
The event, promoted by FASI.biz and EurActiv Italia, one of the leading news networks on financial planning and European policies, will take place 4 October in Rome.
The correct use, coordination and governance of such resources benefit the whole economy, creating new skills and jobs, particularly for youth. It is unacceptable to repeat the mistakes too often made in the past, damaging industries and citizens.
In this context, a key role will be played by the new Agency for Territorial Cohesion, in charge of programme monitoring, offering administrative assistance and support, and also fighting waste.
