FuelsEurope elected as Vice-Chair of the Fuel Production Pillar in the RLCF Alliance's Programme and Monitoring Group

Brussels, 28 April 2025: The election marks a key milestone in FuelsEurope’sstrategic contribution to the RLCF Alliance and the key role of European fuels manufacturers in the deployment of renewable and low-carbon fuels. It reinforces the need for an integrated EU framework to support investment, innovation, and resilience across the value chain.
The Renewable and Low-Carbon Fuels Value Chain Industrial Alliance (RLCF Alliance) is an initiative led by the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) to accelerate the development and uptake of renewable and low-carbon fuels. In its recently revised governance structure, the Programme and Monitoring Group (P&MG) plays a pivotal role.
Within the P&MG, FuelsEurope has been elected as Vice-Chair of the Fuel Production Pillar. Alessandro Bartelloni, Director of FuelsEurope, will represent the organisation in this leadership role. With the help of his team, he will contribute to achieving the objectives of the RLCF Alliance and of the Fuel Production— boosting the visibility of the Alliance, expanding its project pipeline, and supporting the development of effective investment pathways for the production of renewable and low-carbon fuels.
FuelsEurope welcomes this appointment as a recognition of its long-standing commitment to the RLCF Alliance and the critical role that Europe’s fuel manufacturing sector plays in delivering on climate goals while safeguarding energy resilience and economic competitiveness.
