Brussels, 14 April 2025: FuelsEurope supports legal action against fuel fraud. We call for a stronger EU certification system that protects honest players and keeps our climate goals on track. The Union Database (UDB) is a vital step to reinforce traceability. We must extend its scope, improve its productivity and ensure IT security. The revision of the certification framework defined by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/996 is an opportunity for fighting fraud, harmonizing imports and protecting competitiveness.
