Euractiv to use candidate tracking tool from Three Six One to enhance coverage of the 2024 European Parliament elections

Date

12 Mar 2024

Euractiv and the public affairs firm Three Six One have today announced that they will partner up to provide a candidate tracker tool designed to project who the Members of the European Parliament will be during the 2024-2029 mandate.

The candidate tracker tool has been developed by Three Six One and polling aggregator Europe Elects. Euractiv will use the tool - available to subscribers at epcandidates.eu - to help enhance its coverage of elections to the European Parliament.

The tool is available to subscribers at epcandidates.eu and provides candidates’ contact details, social media profiles and their chances of election according to projections from Europe Elects, whose 2019 election prediction was the most accurate of those available.

Peter Beckett, Partner at Three Six One, said:

“Our ambition for epcandidates.eu was that it would help stakeholders understand the importance of knowing who will fill the seats of the hemicycle for the next five years. We decided to work with EurActiv in that spirit, and we’re delighted that - having seen the tracker in action - that they want to integrate it into their coverage of the elections”.

René Moerland, Euractiv’s Publisher, said:

“Euractiv readers are permanently interested in enhancing insights in the possible composition of the new European Parliament. That is why we are delighted to add the candidate tracker tool designed by Three Six One to our toolbox.”
