European Ideas Forum (EIF), the Martens Centre flagship event, returns on 10-11 October in Brussels featuring a live, participating audience. This year’s edition titled "Laying Foundations for Europe's Future", brings together policymakers, industry leaders and academics, to focus on the EU’s key challenges ahead of next year’s European elections.
What you can expect at this year’s EIF:
- Presentation of the Forum by Mikuláš Dzurinda, President, Martens Centre
- Opening Remarks by EPP President and EPP Group Chairman Manfred Weber
- Video message by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen
- Keynote address by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola
- 6 expert panel and policy discussions featuring high-level speakers and interviews with business leaders
- Closing Remarks by Martens Centre Secretary-Treasurer & MEP, EPP Group Antonio López-Istúriz White
Over two days of content-rich debates, the European Ideas Forum provides a preeminent platform for discussion for all those interested in the most salient economic and political issues facing Europe.
The event will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Rue Gineste 3, 1210 Brussels, with limited spaces for joining in person. Journalists interested in participating must register via this form. The event will also be live-streamed on martenscentre.eu and on our YouTube channel.
The Forum has been awarded the European Excellence Award in the category «Best political workshop or congress» in 2017. Previous Forums have been successfully held in Brussels, Bratislava, Helsinki, Dublin, London, Madrid, Paris, and Nicosia.
