ChargeUp Europe welcomes EDP as its eighth member

ChargeUp Europe is excited to welcome EDP - Energias de Portugal, as its newest member. With EDP joining, the Alliance has further expanded its geographic reach to Portugal.

ChargeUp Europe founding members Allego, ChargePoint and EVBox have now been joined by GreenWay, Fastned, evway by Route220, has·to·be, and EDP.

Headquartered in Lisbon, EDP is a multinational utility company. Throughout their 40 years history, they have built a global energy presence with activities in 19 countries across 4 continents. They are active throughout the electricity value chain and are one of the biggest wind energy production companies in the world with almost 66% of their energy produced from renewable resources. EDP aim to lead the energy transition and mobility ecosystem growth in Portugal, Spain and Brazil.

Commenting on the announcement, Vera Pinto Pereira, CEO of EDP Commercial said:
