Christophe Tissier joins the CEMA Secretariat to support on technical dossiers

Brussels, 1st of July 2019 - Summer time brings good news for the European Agricultural Machinery Industry Association CEMA. The CEMA secretariat, based in Brussels, reaches now the number of 6 staff members with the arrival of Christophe Tissier, a mechanical engineer with a solid professional background in the agricultural machinery industry. In previous experiences, Christophe has been involved in standardization matters for mobile machinery in France. More recently, he consolidated his relationship with the CEMA industry working as homologation manager for one of the main agricultural machinery producers in Europe. Through this position he actively participated as an expert in different CEMA technical groups dealing with EU regulations.

As of July, Christophe moves into the Brussels bubble to support CEMA’s Technical Department and will take the lead of several technical groups working mainly on type approval and machine safety.

Commenting on this, Anthony van der Ley CEMA President said “I’d like to warmly welcome Christophe as new member of the CEMA team. I am convinced his in-depth knowledge of the agricultural machinery industry will be a valuable asset regarding technical issues affecting our industry but it will also help to anticipate future challenges arising from upcoming EU legislation.

On his recent nomination, Christophe Tissier added, “I am delighted to join CEMA. It is definitely an exciting moment in view of the new EU mandate. Therefore, I truly hope my professional experience, especially in the implementation of requirements on tractors, and personal interest in this industry will serve the objectives set for the European agricultural machinery sector as a whole.
