Call for tenders: Complete renewal of website and content management system

Caritas Europa is planning a complete renewal of its current website and content management system (CMS) to fit the new structures within which the network is currently working and to maximise its communication capacity with member organisations and stakeholders.

To do so, the Caritas Europa secretariat expects this website to be running on a state of the art CMS that will allow maximal time-saving and work efficiency to the Communication Unit.

We are firm believers that there are no limits to the positive outcomes delivered by infrastructure-based competition. What better than to have parties compete to provide increasingly choosy and tech savvy customers with the best performing networks? In this day and age in Europe, it has been proven that continued investment by alternative providers is providing an evolving choice of innovative services - at speeds never before imagined. At the heart of this set of choices is competition among platforms and technologies.

EU leaders: invest in wind energy for growth

European leaders meeting on 23 May to discuss how to achieve growth despite massive budgetary challenges must turn to wind energy for immediate job-creating and economic benefits.

Every EU citizen is paying more than EUR 700 for energy imports and this is increasing as prices climb and domestic resources deplete. But wind energy replaces imported fuel - saving EUR 5.7 billion in 2010 alone - while creating growth.

Energy efficiency industry: No European growth strategy without ambitious energy saving policies

The European energy efficiency industry called on the Presidents of the European Commission and the Council, Mr Barroso and Mr Van Rompuy, to use the “growth-summit” in May and the EU Council on 28-29 June to include energy efficiency as a corner stone of Europe’s growth strategy. Energy efficiency is the single most (cost-) effective lever able to address the economic, social and environmental challenges whilst also being an engine-for-growth.
