CLEPA welcomes the 100th new corporate member

Today CLEPA is proud to announce its 100th corporate member, DANA Holding
Corporation.

Since spring 2012 CLEPA has defied the global economic crisis by adding in a rapid pace 15 new organisations to its membership. A diverse range of innovative companies have joined the Brussels based association, bringing new expertise and knowledge together under one roof.

New EFETnet service to support regulatory reporting needs: the eRR Pilot project

Responding to the needs of its members, EFET, by means of its operational service organisation EFETnet, has launched an electronic Regulatory Reporting pilot project. The purpose of this pilot project is to address the operational and IT concerns arising from various energy and financial regulations that are nearing entry into force.

Car noise - Centre-right MEPs back noisy car lobby and weaken draft EU rules

 

The European Parliament today voted on proposals to revise EU rules on noise from vehicles. The Greens criticised the outcome of the vote, after centre-right MEPs backed amendments to weaken the draft legislation that was already low on ambition. After the vote, Green environment and public health spokesperson Satu Hassi (MEP, Finland) said:

EU wind industry skills shortage: over 5,000 more workers needed per year

The European wind industry faces a severe skills shortage of around 5,500 appropriately qualified staff per year. This shortfall could climb to 18,000 by 2030 - nearly 5% of the entire wind industry workforce - if numbers of suitable workers don't increase.

The warning comes in a report to be published by the EU's Wind Energy Technology Platform (TPWind), based on research by renewable energy consultancy GL Garrad Hassan.
