Fostering Corporate Responsibility through Self- and Co-regulation

The study introduces sector-specific corporate responsibility initiatives with government involvement as forms of self- and co-regulation and complements to traditional governance. It highlights sector-specific initiatives as an appropriate response to the governance challenges to sustainable development and presents five success factors for good performance for setting-up and managing of such initiatives.The study provides an overview of over 60 different sector-specific initiatives at the national level in five industry sectors across eight European countries.

No Competitiveness without Energy Savings

IRU establishes Inter-parliamentary Dialogue on Road Transport in Eurasia

The European Commission's Green Paper on a "2030 framework for climate and energy policies" published today in Brussels presents 2030 targets as a key policy option.

27 country reports: Energy efficiency policy profiles of every EU Member State

27 country reports assessing national energy efficiency policies in every EU Member State have now been published within the Energy-Efficiency-Watch project. The reports are based on the screening of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs) as well as an expert survey, involving about 750 experts, on the implementation of those policies since the first NEEAPs were published in 2007. The country reports provide a unique overview of policy packages and the current implementation status of energy efficiency policies in each Member State.
