The Brewers of Europe ahead of target in fulfilling landmark voluntary commitment to meet consumer demand for comparable information

Brussels, 28 September 2017. The Brewers of Europe are successfully implementing their voluntary commitment to list ingredients and provide comparable nutrition information, calling on other sectors to follow their lead in view of the alcohol industry proposal due in March next year.

Pittella in letter to Tusk: “Romania and Bulgaria must finally become full members of Schengen”

The S&D Group today demanded, in a letter addressed to the president of the European Council, Donald Tusk to take all the necessary steps to enable Bulgaria and Romania to join the Schengen area.

PES to underline its contribution to EU social pillar and gig workers’ rights at summit in Tallinn

PES has been the driving force in shaping the European social pillar and supporting workers in the digital economy -- a fact that will be made clear once again at today’s informal EU leaders’ summit in Tallinn.

PES president Sergei Stanishev and two chairs of PES networks wrote yesterday to all PES heads of state and government, Commissioners and deputy prime ministers, summarising PES action to date on the social pillar and emphasising the importance of concrete progress in Tallinn.
