This plenary session, S&D members have confirmed our priorities regarding the functioning of the Single Market and reiterated the Group’s main recommendations for human centric AI.

The European Committee for Standardisation (CEC) today launched the European Tourism Covid-19 Safety Seal; albeit after almost a year. We welcome that the idea of a European Tourism Seal developed by the Socialists & Democrats has now become a reality.

These partners are working together to contribute to the decarbonisation of the mobility sector in a sustainable and affordable way. They represent companies acting at different steps of the value chain, from feedstock and fuel production to supply and distribution, making up a substantial part of the sustainable renewable fuels’ ecosystem.

S&Ds call for EU to step up the fight against environmental damage and ecocide

The S&D Group in the European Parliament is pushing for an overhaul of the rules on holding polluters to account in a bid to step up the fight against environmental damage and ecocide.

With the support of a progressive majority in the European Parliament, a report on Liability of companies for environmental damage will call for a long overdue modernisation of outdated EU environmental liability rules. The debate on the report takes place later today, with the final vote taking place on Thursday morning.
