NGVA Europe Annual Event held online to discuss renewable gases for road transport

Brussels, 29 October 2021, the Natural & bio Gas Vehicle Association (NGVA Europe) held its Annual Event ‘Renewable Gases for Road Transport: Fit for 55!‘.

Within two panels and together with scientists, representatives from the European institutions and the industry it discussed requirements to innovate the European technology sector to become ‘Fit for 55’ and debated how the transformation of long-haul transport in Europe can be achieved.

European Commission pilot project on repurposing brings value added innovation to life

Innovation on existing, well known molecules by repurposing can deliver massive benefits for patients, meeting unmet medical needs in a sustainable way. The European Commission Safe and Timely Access to Medicines for Patients (STAMP) expert group, established in 2015 and supporting repurposing policies since that time, has today launched a project to assist bringing value added repurposing to life.

European Aluminium calls for a strong industrial strategy and welcomes 6 new members

Brussels, 28 October 2021 – During its annual General Assembly yesterday, European Aluminium chair Ingrid Jörg called for a stronger EU industrial policy, citing unfair trade practices and a lack of access to affordable green energy as key challenges. Jörg also welcomed six new members at this year’s Autumn Meetings. The industry association, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, now counts over 95 members, representing more than 600 plants across 30 European countries.
