Access to generic and biosimilar medicines can be improved with coherent proposals for IP and pharmaceutical reform in Europe that encourage Day 1 launch.

This has been echoed in the recent European Parliament report, which supports finetuning the IP system towards higher quality and timely access to generic and biosimilar medicines.

Today, the Socialists and Democrats Group adopted a declaration on strengthening relations between Europe and Latin America, on the occasion of the first Latin America Day hosted by the S&D Group in the European Parliament, in the presence of former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

The COP26 came to an end. The S&D delegation, during the 5 day mission to Glasgow, had the opportunity to engage with delegates from around the world in a number of meetings, presenting the EU’s actions to address the climate crisis and meet the Paris Agreement goal of 1.5 degrees.
