Over 100 companies and organisations representing the road transport sector and the entire hydrogen value chain join forces in an open letter to call on Member States and European policymakers against watering down the European Commission proposal on setting binding national targets for hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.

The Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament say it's crucial that the unity of the European Union is not undermined by any attempts by Russia to create division. In their opinion, the unilateral decision to stop gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland is a clear attempt to put pressure not just on these two member states, but also to weaken and divide the EU as a whole.

Dan Nica, MEP and S&D spokesperson in the committee on industry, research and energy, said:

EU values are increasingly a priority for European citizens, as also shown recently in France and Slovenia where pro-European forces defeated nationalist movements. This week, the S&D Group in the European Parliament will host election experts to debate how European political parties can strengthen democracy in the European Union.
