In the autumn, the European Commission is expected to finally present its long-awaited European care strategy. Anticipating this communication, the Socialists and Democrats call on the Commission to be as ambitious as possible, so that this strategy will be a solid first step, laying foundations for a European Care Deal encompassing policies, legislative proposals and public investment.

Thanks to the S&Ds, the EU will finally have adequate and up to date rules to deal with the realities of digital markets and services. The S&D Group voted in favour of political agreements on the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and Digital Services Act (DSA) in today’s plenary and thus replaced the more than 20 years old legislation currently in place.
