The Biosimilar medicines group, a Medicines for Europe sector group, is pleased to note the EMA/HMA jointly closing the discussion on biosimilar medicines interchangeability.

This summer was a strong reminder that we need to step-up our ambition on tackling the climate crisis and getting a progressive Fit for 55 package. This is the message the Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament want to convey to the European leaders, through the motion for resolution on ´the consequences of drought, fire, and other extreme weather phenomena: increasing EU’s efforts to fight climate change´.

The European Parliament will tomorrow adopt the European law on adequate minimum wages that will reduce inequalities, boost salaries across Europe and strengthen collective bargaining to fight in-work poverty. In times of exploding prices for food, rent and energy, it is now vital to apply this new legislation as soon as possible, urge the S&Ds.

Brussels, 15 September 2022 – The emergency measures presented yesterday by the European Commission are not ambitious nor swift enough to bring down energy prices and to preserve millions of jobs in industrial sectors such as steel that are exposed to fierce global competition. Emergency situations require emergency measures also for industry, warns the European Steel Association.
