On the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the European Parliament has adopted a resolution in support of Ukraine and its people who are courageously fighting for their freedom, personal safety, democracy and human rights.

Today, the socialists and democrats are urging the President of the European Parliament to step up and act on the demands of the majority of MEPs asking for more ambitious reforms on integrity.

Today, at the S&D’s request, the Parliament finally debated the erosion of the rule of law in Greece, which had previously been blocked by other political groups. The debate centred around the media freedom and wiretapping scandal, which involves journalists and the leader of PASOK, our S&D MEP, Nikos Androulakis.
