Today, the European Parliament's committee on the environment, public health and food safety (ENVI) greenlighted an S&D-led report on the Air Quality Directive.

Under the European Green Deal, the EU has set an objective to reduce air pollution to levels no longer considered harmful to health and natural ecosystems, aiming for a zero-pollution target for air by 2050.

After the Nature Restauration Law was voted down by conservative forces with a razor-thin majority in the European Parliament's committee on the environment, public health and food safety (ENVI), the Socialists and Democrats vow to defend this crucial pillar of the Green Deal in the plenary vote in July.

At the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London, the European Business Association and Medicines for Europe signed a Memorandum of Agreement to accelerate Ukraine's integration into the EU pharmaceutical market.

The Socialists and Democrats are committed to working towards a reform of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) – the budget of the EU for the period 2021-2027. The S&D Group believes it is no longer possible to respond to the emerging needs of our citizens and businesses without changing the way the MFF works.
