INVITATION TO PRESENTATION CEREMONY FOR INNOVATION PRIZE FOR WOMEN FARMERS

Copa would like to invite journalists to a Presentation Ceremony on October 15 where the Innovation Prize for Women Farmers and Special Achievement Award will be presented by EU Farm Commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel and Esther de Lange from European Parliament.

MEPs Britta Reimers will also be speaking at the Conference. This will be followed by a buffet
lunch.

Online gaming and betting: French MPs to decide over viability of French law

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) re-iterates its concerns over some of the key provisions of the French draft law to be debated on 7, 8 and 9 October in the French National Assembly. Seven months after its notification to the European Commission, EGBA considers that the French proposal still conflicts with the EC Treaty.

“Several key restrictions in the draft do not serve any general interest purpose, whether consumer or public order protection” says Sigrid Ligne, Secretary General of the EGBA.

This potential stems from the targeted mode of action of biotechnology medicines, which involve molecules or pathways that are common in many seemingly different diseases.

EGEC - European Geothermal Energy

EGEC, the European Geothermal Energy Council, was founded in 1998 as an international non-profit association in Brussels. Its office is based nearby the European Institutions in the Renewable Energy House.
