CEEMET, the Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-based Industries (MET) and the EMF, the European Metalworkers’ Federation, have today launched their Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for the MET industries with the formal recognition of the European Commission.

Antonio Robalo de Almeida is ETNO’s new Executive Board Chairman

BRUSSELS – Antonio Robalo de Almeida, Inspector General, Portugal Telecom, is the new Chairman of the Executive Board of ETNO for 2010. Mr Robalo, who has been member of ETNO’s Executive Board since 2007, succeeds to Alfredo Acebal, Director EU and Regulatory Affairs, Telefonica, who served in this position since May 2005. 

Leif Johansson elected Chairman of the ACEA Commercial Vehicle Board for 2010

Brussels,  12/01/2010  -  The  Commercial  Vehicle Board of the European
Automobile  Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has elected Leif Johansson
as  its  new  chairman for 2010. Johansson is President and CEO of Volvo
Group.  At  ACEA, he takes over from Leif Östling, CEO of Scania AB, who
was ACEA commercial vehicle chairman in 2009.
