Commission reaffirms commitment to H2 with major announcements

Today (Monday 20 November), at the European Hydrogen Week event in Brussels, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the second auction of the European Hydrogen Bank, as well as the signing of an historic agreement with the Brazilian state of Piaui. Breakthrough on first-ever methane emissions reduction plan in the EU

The European Parliament, Council and Commission have reached, at 4 am this morning, an ambitious agreement to reduce methane emissions, which are over 80 times more climate damaging than CO2. Since they leave the atmosphere much faster than carbon dioxide, their reduction will bring rapid and significant benefits to combatting climate change and its impacts.
