EU summit - EU energy policy at a standstill after summit wrangling

Commenting on the outcome of today's 'energy summit', Greens/EFA co-president Rebecca Harms said:

Development aid distribution: European Parliament's co-legislator role strengthened. Gay Mitchell and Kinga Gál MEPs

The European Parliament adopted on Thursday 3 February amendments to financing instruments for development cooperation which strengthens its role as co-legislator in relation to the strategic decisions on the spending of development aid.

 

Gay Mitchell MEP is the Joint Coordinator of the Development Committee for the EPP Group and the Parliament's Rapporteur for the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI).

 

Print Media Chain reacts on Commission’s push for e-invoicing

European Print Media chain has sent an open letter to the European Commission regarding its plans on making electronic invoices standard by 2020. The group encourages the Commission to have a more balanced approach to the topic, pointing out that as well as being a convenient medium of communication, there are large financial, environmental and social reasons for retaining the use of paper.
